The highly anticipated successor to the Vivo X90 lineup, the Vivo X100 series, is finally on the horizon. In November 2022, the Vivo X90 made waves in China, and now it’s time for the X100 to take the stage. Consisting of three models – the Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro+ – this series is expected to offer a remarkable smartphone experience. Leaked specifications and design renders have been flooding the internet, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come. To further excite fans, Vivo has officially disclosed the launch date for the Vivo X100 series. Additionally, the design of the Vivo X100 Pro has been tantalizingly teased.

In an announcement on Weibo, Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo X100 series will be unveiled in China on November 13 at 7:00 pm, local Beijing time (4:30 pm IST). Simultaneously, the company has also revealed that the Vivo Watch 3, running on BlueOS, will make its debut on the same day.

Moving on to the Vivo X100 Pro, a Vivo official shared a post on Weibo showcasing the design of this upcoming model. The phone exhibits a mesmerizing blue ripple glass finish, drawing inspiration from the sky and celestial objects. Positioned centrally toward the top of the back panel, there is a large circular rear camera module. Accompanied by four camera sensors and a vertical LED flash unit nestled in the top right corner, this phone pushes the boundaries of aesthetic appeal.

According to previous reports, the Vivo X100 Pro will boast a 1-inch Sony IMX989 primary rear sensor, a Samsung JN1 sensor featuring an ultra-wide lens, and an OmniVision OV64B telephoto shooter with an impressive 4.3x optical zoom. The base model is expected to share similar camera specifications, with the primary camera employing a Sony IMX920 sensor and the telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.

In terms of performance, the Vivo X100 series is set to impress. Both models are rumored to come equipped with LPDDR5T RAM. The base model is anticipated to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, while the Pro model is speculated to feature the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. As for the top-of-the-line Vivo X100 Pro+, rumors suggest it will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, offering unparalleled performance.

Regarding pricing, a report has indicated that the Vivo X100 variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage may be priced at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 45,500). Notably, the Vivo X90 was launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 59,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the singular 12GB + 256GB model was initially listed at Rs. 84,999.
