In the upcoming months, smartphone giant Samsung is set to introduce its flagship Galaxy Tab S9 series, which will consist of the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra models. However, according to a recent leak, the South Korean company is also rumored to be working on a foldable screen tablet called the Galaxy Z Tab. This new device is anticipated to be released alongside the Galaxy Tab S9 later this year. Currently dominating the foldable smartphone market, Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones are the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. It is worth mentioning that Apple is also expected to launch a foldable iPad in 2025.

Renowned tipster Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) on Twitter has hinted at the possible arrival of Samsung’s first foldable tablet later in the year. This device is expected to bear the name Galaxy Z Tab and will be launched simultaneously with the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

There have been speculations about Apple’s plans to introduce its first foldable iPad in 2025. Should this rumor hold true, the introduction of the Galaxy Z Tab will provide Samsung with a competitive advantage over Apple, allowing them to capture a significant market share.

As of now, Samsung has not made any official announcements regarding a foldable tablet. Therefore, these details should be taken with caution. However, during CES 2023 held in Las Vegas, the company did tease potential foldable tablet concepts.

The highly anticipated Galaxy Tab S9 series is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2023. This lineup will include the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, serving as successors to last year’s Galaxy Tab S8 series.

Leaked information suggests that the Galaxy Tab S9 series will operate on Android 13 with the latest One UI 5.1. Powering these devices will most likely be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Additionally, they are expected to boast an IP67 rating, ensuring water and dust resistance.

Foldable devices have been garnering significant attention recently, with Samsung at the forefront of the market. Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, which are the brand’s latest offerings, other smartphone manufacturers such as Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Motorola have also introduced their own foldable devices. Furthermore, rumors suggest that Apple, Realme, and Google are also working on flagship handsets featuring foldable designs.
